Objective

Building its relationship with SSM Health Care-St. Louis, Primary Systems provided the nurse call systems, overhead paging, and a complete in-building wireless telephony solution that allowed the newly opened, $236 million, 154-bed SSM St. Clare Health Center in Fenton, MO the capability of being more patient-focused and supported their new implemented decentralized nursing model.

Solution

Primary Systems provided St. Clare Health Center with both Rauland Responder IV and Responder 4000 nurse call systems, Responder NET software, Versus Tracer real-time staff locating, Bi-amp Overhead Paging, and the Ascom IP-DECT system. Responder NET provided St. Clare with a simple PC interface for easy staff sign-on, staff-to-patient assignments, and customized patient/staff information displays - all on their network. The Tracer system badge, provided by-name information on patient interaction, lean process-flow evaluation, and data regarding patient activity and care trends.

 

With the implementation of the Ascom IP-DECT system, and its integration with the nurse call system provided St. Clare staff with a mobile communication platform that improves communication efficiency, and supports the decentralized care model they were seeking.
