Today St. Anthony's Medical Center is the second-largest medical center in the St. Louis metropolitan area and also serves families in Jefferson County, Mo.,
and St. Clair and Monroe counties in Illinois. In addition,
St. Anthony’s operates four urgent care facilities – located in Arnold, Fenton, Lemay and Big Bend.
St. Anthony’s is staffed by more than 4,000 employees, and served by more than
800 physicians and other medical professionals in private practice. The medical
staff provides a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient medical,
surgical, diagnostic, emergency and behavioral health services to more than
225,000 patients each year.
Objective
For more than 130 years, the leaders, physicians and staff of St. Anthony's Medical Center have carried out Christ's healing
ministry with the delivery of health care services to area residents. With the
growth of the St. Louis community and St.
Anthony’s Mercy being the third largest campus in St. Louis, St. Anthony’s objective was to create
a more secure facility for the patients and staff.
Solution
St. Anthony's Medical
Center has partnered with
Primary Systems to provide a total design and security implementation for their
facility. To accomplish this objective Primary Systems utilized Card Access and
CCTV to create a complete security console upgrade. To accomplish this task
Primary Systems utilized RS2’s Access Control platform integrated with RTS’s
Real Time Surveillance system. The pairing of RS2’s cutting-edge software with
RTS’s advanced video recording and transmission technology provided a powerful
combination for a sophisticated, enterprise-class surveillance and access control
solution. With this integration, St. Anthony’s was given the ability to monitor
their entire campus from a state of the art central monitoring station giving
them a total security solution.
