Service Sales Representative

Job Description

Summary

The Service Sales Representative's primary function is the marketing and sales of service offers to users of Life Safety systems including, but not limited to: fire alarm, security, nurse call, suppression and sound systems within assigned territories.

      

Responsibilities

  • Represent the company in a positive and professional manner.
  • Follow company established marketing strategies.
  • Identify and establish contact with prospective customers.
  • Qualify potential buyers by scheduling sales calls.
  • Determine customer needs and develop a sales strategy for each account.
  • Conduct thorough site surveys to support estimate development.
  • Develop and maintain a proposal backlog that will insure meeting sales goals.
  • Close sufficient sales to meet sales goal.
  • Maintain complete record of all activities.
  • Submit all required reports in a timely manner.
  • Maintain professional relationship with all office personnel.
  • Perform other duties as directed.

      

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree or related experience.

Experience: Typically three to five years of successful end user business-to-business sales experience. (Experience in service sales preferred)

Demonstrated ability to close sales based on value, not price.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Knowledge and experience working with word processing software.
